Chai Trading Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary Company of Kenya Tea Development Holdings Ltd, based in Mombasa.We are looking for an experienced professional to fill the following position within the company.
Security Officer
1 Position
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to discharge the following key responsibilities among others:
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and regulations in order to secure company assets, employees and visitors
Interfacing with external security services provider for staffing of security positions, provision of alarms and escort services
Instructs security guards on organization specific processes and procedures
Facilitates on the job training for security guards, including quarterly fire drills for guards
Ensuring vetting and access control of all entrants including employees, customers and visitors
Recommends security surveillance related equipment, fixtures and fittings
Liaison with all departments on security arrangements and requirements for their operations
Creating emergency response and evacuation procedures
Investigates cases of theft, damage to property and / or personal injury perpetrated by employees or contractors
Monitor security operations / tracking of activities in the entire organization
Close liaison with Police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure timely and appropriate intervention is resolution of casesQualifications / Skills / Experience
The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications
Bachelors Degree plus formal training in crime detection and prevention
Ex-Police officer in the rank of Inspector
Good judgment and analytical skills
At least 5 years’ experience in security matters including intelligence gathering, investigations, crime prevention, detection and apprehension
High level of integrity and self-discipline
