Call for Local Associate Trainers based in Sudan
RedR UK Khartoum Country Office is looking for experienced, qualified training professionals to join the RedR Sudan Pool of Associate Trainers (ATs). Associate trainers are listed on RedR’s consultant database and offered training work as and when needed on a daily rate payment basis. RedR cannot guarantee regular training opportunities, however, given current levels of demand we anticipate there will be many opportunities.
In addition to training events RedR Associate Trainers from time to time work closely with the RedR UK Head of Programmes (HoP) based in Khartoum, to develop new training and learning materials, and convene events for humanitarian workers.
If you are a training professional with 5 years or more of field based humanitarian experience and you are based in Sudan, RedR would welcome an application from you.
We are looking for trainers with experience and proficiency in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Humanitarian Principles and Standards, Security and Safety Management, Project Cycle Management or Technical Areas such as Nutrition, Needs Assessment, Protection, Disaster risk reduction and logistics. You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to facilitate workshops, manage group dynamic, enable groups to learn together and design and/or revise training curriculum.
RedR UK Khartoum has identified the following proficiencies as being desirable in its training teams:
- Identify learning needs of Humanitarian/ Development Sector, including organisations and individuals.
- Develop effective training courses that address needs identified levels (this may include learning materials for participants and training documents for other trainers)
- Use lessons learned from previous courses to inform course design
- Effectively facilitate a training event and training sessions, using experiential and active learning activities, engaging with participants learning style
- Work in collaborative relationships with other trainers
- Assess participant’s learning & use evaluation feedback during the course to adjust training delivery and inform course design and facilitation for future training delivery.
