The USAID/East Africa (EA)/Somalia Office is starting the process of developing a three-year strategy to guide programming of USAID-implemented assistance in Somalia. The key purpose of the strategy is to improve upon USAID’s long tradition of strategic planning by defining stabilization objectives and maximizing the impact of stabilization and development assistance in Somalia.
IBTCI is seeking a Facilitator to facilitate a series of stakeholder workshops to define obstacles to/opportunities for sustainable development in Somalia in consultation with the Senior Strategy Specialist. This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Facilitator must:
· Facilitate a stakeholder workshop to define obstacles to/opportunities for sustainable development in Somalia.
· Draft a summary of the workshop, in coordination with the Senior Strategy Specialist, outlining the sources of fragility and resiliency in Somalia and specific challenges, priorities, and institutional strengths and weaknesses for USAID’s development and stabilization assistance in Somalia.
The Facilitator must have the following qualifications:
· At least 7 years of professional experience in facilitation of both large and small group meetings.
· Demonstrated experience successfully communicating ideas to diverse audiences and track record as an effective facilitator.
· A Master’s degree.
The following experience is preferred:
- Understanding of USAID’s strategy process
