Background:
Amani Facility for Non-state Actors and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Support for Peacebuilding, Reconciliation, Cohesion, Community Security and Devolution processes.
Amani Facility for Non-state Actors and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Support for Peacebuilding, Reconciliation, Cohesion, Community Security and Devolution processes.
The civil society, interfaith organizations and private sector have been a vanguard of Kenya democratization, development and peacebuilding and community security processes.
As complementary actors in driving forward and realizing the national goals and aspirations, the CSOs and private sector remain a great partner in the consolidation of national healing and reconciliation, peacebuilding and cohesion strengthening, community security as well as in engendering peaceful devolution.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in relevant academic field such as strategic security studies, conflict analysis and resolution, coexistence, peace studies, political science, international relations, social sciences or other relevant fields of study;
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience at national/international levels in the field of peacebuilding and conflict prevention which should include programme management; community sector.
- Experience with UN agencies an advantage.
- Experience with UN/International organizations an advantage.
- Familiarity with UNDP/UN and/or Government management and financial procedures.
