The Ministry of Interior and Local Governments (MOILG), with the support from UN JPLG and IOM MIDA, wants to hire a Somali diaspora capacity development expert to support implementation of recently developed capacity development strategy.
Under the direct supervision of Director of the Department of Districts and Regions, and secondary supervision of Director General of MOILG, The expert will be responsible for proper identification of core management functions of Local Government, supporting the assessment and appraisal of training institutions that can be potential partners in training local government staff and officials, and rolling out of training programme on the identified core management functions of local government. In doing this, the consultant will be guided by ten point agenda of the capacity development strategy in phased approach.
