Position main function:
The M&E Officer will participate in the monitoring and evaluation of communicating with communities outreach activities FilmAid conducts in the refugee camp in Kakuma and the surrounding host community to ensure FilmAid ‘Theory of Social Change’ is effective and achieving the desired impact. The officer will also conduct continuous research to identify the needs and improve program design and measure program impact.
Key roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Lead the process of documenting all of FilmAid’s activities in Kakuma refugee camp and the surrounding Turkana host community.
· Monitoring outreach based activities that include video, radio and SMS based broadcasts
· Conduct regular research to evaluate beneficiaries’ information need, improve outreach methodologies and access individual and community change.
· Take lead in conducting FDGs.
· Ensure generation and proper filling of Photos and Quotes from FilmAid activities.
· Take lead in compiling M&E reports for internal and external use.
· Build a resource system for FilmAid to access relevant data, reports and statistics on CwC, C4D, trends and population demographic data in the project locations.
· Participate in program design and proposal development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or any relevant social sciences from a recognised institution.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience.
· Experience working with UN bodies.
· Excellent writing and analytical skills.
