Our work in over 75 countries is strengthened through our global network of like-minded organisations – the only one of its kind in the world. HelpAge is now looking for a media intern to assist in delivering innovative media coverage for HelpAge International as we increase our media presence on a global stage.
You will gain experience from working in a busy international communications team for a global development charity. You will help plan and deliver large scale media/advocacy campaigns focused on older people’s rights, older people in emergencies and the launch of a global index on the wellbeing of older people. You will have opportunities to attend in-house courses on ageing and development and to attend meetings on media and development with experts in the field.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to write accessibly for different audiences and to edit and proofread material, including the website.
