The Regional HR Manager provides dedicated HR support and develops close working relationships with assigned client areas working with Country Office HR staff, Country Directors, Africa Regional Vice President and Regional Staff, and Senior Leadership collaboratively to understand and support their business objectives.
The Regional HR Manager is the primary point of service in providing HR support, advice and counsel on all HR related matters to the Africa Region and the Africa Regional Office, including but not limited to employee relations, organization change, performance management, talent acquisition/recruitment support.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in HR is required.
· Must have a minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience with exposure to the following functional areas: recruiting/staffing, employee relations, employee development and retention, organizational development, compensation analysis, training/development, HR needs analysis and metrics development, performance management, talent management and career development required.
· Must have extensive employee relations experience including but not limited to: coaching managers on the resolution of performance issues; coaching managers on interpretation and application of HR policy and employment law; employee investigations; severance and termination proceedings.
· Must have a solid understanding of all areas of HR, including recruitment best practices, benefits, compensation and learning & development.
· Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of HR and management by building trust and credibility.
· Must have proven excellent customer support skills with demonstrated evidence of strong business acumen including the ability to understand the needs of the Country Offices and adjust support in accordance with those needs and requirements.
· Demonstrated experience working with and providing consultation to Senior Management as a business partner on strategic and tactical HR related business issues and to work effectively in a complex matrixed environment.
· Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence others.
· Must have proven strong presentation skills and presence.
· Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as a strong customer focus.
· Must have the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
· Experience in Labor Relations preferred.
· Ability to travel up to 40%.
