ACORN GROUP – a leading Property Development Company with interests in commercial, office, retail and master – planned development is looking for a highly ambitious candidate to fill this position in their main office in Nairobi:
Manager – Property And Facilities
Reporting to the Director – Marketing and Sales, this is a position that is directly responsible for establishing the management service requirements in accordance with various agreements including tenant leases, property management agreements and third party management contracts.
The incumbent will also be directly responsible and accountable for ensuring that all services provided are of the highest quality, are responsive to the needs of tenants and are delivered on time at the required quality and within budget.
Principal Accountabilities
- Preparation of Annual Service Charge Budget and assisting in the reconciliation of the same with the Finance department
- Maintaining property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units and completing repairs, planning renovations, contracting with landscaping, garbage removal services and other key service providers and also preparing SLA to govern and monitor performance
- Securing property by contracting with security services, installing and maintaining security devices, establishing and enforcing precautionary policies and procedures and responding to emergencies
- Enforcing occupancy policies and procedures
- Accomplishing organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to the property management function
- Supervising caretakers and other property maintenance staff
Key Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 5 years in Property Management
- A good knowledge of the local Real Estate market, its key players and stakeholders
