Angaza needs a creative, energetic and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. Our analyst will be responsible for developing critical tools to streamline and optimize the financial architecture of our PAYG software. In addition, this person will work directly with management to determine a long-term corporate finance strategy for our distributed team, as well as analyze, summarize and present key corporate metrics to help raise equity and debt capital. This will be a 12-month consultant position, and the selected candidate will play a key role in our operational and strategic plans.
Attributes Desired
- BA or Masters in Finance from a top-tier university
- At least 2+ years experience in a finance function, preferably in a microfinance or pay-as-you-go setting
- Experience with statistics and statistical tools applied to risk management
- Highly proficient with Excel
- Excellent written and spoken English (Swahili or other Kenyan language not essential but would be appreciated)
- Comfortable in a dynamic, flexible atmosphere – able to balance big picture with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience living and working in a developing/emerging market country, preferably within East Africa
- Full-time in Nairobi, KE is strongly preferred
