Senior Health Sector Financial Specialist- Cross Border Health
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
URC is currently seeking candidates for a USAID Cross Border Health Integrated Partnership program based in Kenya. This five-year project will support sustainable and African-led regional health development partnerships to improve health outcomes among mobile populations and vulnerable communities residing along Eastern, Central and Southern African transport corridors and cross-border sites.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Health Sector Financial Specialist will lead efforts to strengthen alternative health financing models for the network of health and HIV/AIDS service delivery sites.
Minimum qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health financing, health economics, development economics or related field
- Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience managing and implementing health financing programs with a minimum of (5) years’ experience in sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Africa experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government representatives, for-profit private sector entities, local community organizations, donors and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent references.
