Description
SPSS will maintain a Logistics Coordinator and Interpreter who will be responsible for assisting with coordinating and maintaining a schedule of training sessions and interviews, to serve as a point of contact for scheduling meetings and interviews in the field, provide note-taking services as needed during training and interviews, coordinating with drivers and support staff as necessary.
The Logistics Coordinator and Interpreter’s responsibilities shall include:
• Coordinate and maintain the scheduling of trainings and interviews
• Serve as point of contact for scheduling
• Provide support in coordinating travel arrangements (lodging, airport pickup, transportation, and in-country travel)
• Coordinate with hired drivers and other support staff as necessary
• Provide note-taking services as needed during interviews and meetings.
• Provide interpretation and translation as needed
• Perform other duties or functions as deemed necessary to support logistics
The Logistics Coordinator and Interpreter must have:
• Familiarity with Somalia and traveling in various regions of Somalia
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with translation of the Somali language
• Knowledge of or experience working in the Somali Education Systems
• Must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have computer literacy (MS Office)
• Must be willing to travel through all regions of Somalia
• Must be a native Somali Speaker
