The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC has been active in Kenya since 2005. The Kenya Program provides services and support in the sectors of livelihoods, community development, and protection and for refugees residing in Kenya and the resident hosting communities. DRC has operational offices in Nairobi, Dadaab and Kakuma implementing programs directly and in partnership with local NGOs. The DRC Kenya program is seeking qualified candidates for the following position;
The focus of the role will be to coordinate, manage and supervise direct implementation of GBV prevention activities in IFO 1 Camp.

Key Responsibilities;
1. Designing, planning & implementation of anti-SGBV activities
• Give support & direction in designing, planning & implementation of SGBV prevention & response activities
• Ensure community members are mobilized to participate in anti-SGBV activities in the camps
• Develop interventions including, but not limited to, advocacy initiatives, awareness raising, targeted trainings, to strengthen SGBV prevention and response based on data.
• Develop & implement innovative and sustainable SGBV prevention strategies
• Ensure all planned training sessions take place as per the objective
• As the lead agency, ensure coordination and collaboration on all GBV related activities
• Ensure the monthly GBV/CP working group meetings take place as planned with the participation of all agencies, community leaders & GBV Steering committee.
• Organize, attend or facilitate workshops and TOT sessions for incentive workers, change agents, support groups and agency workers.
• Ensure representation of DRC and the GBV working group in all camp based monthly multi-sectorial interagency Coordination meetings.
• Promote a positive profile of the GBV program among other sectors, partners and the communities.
• Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationship with other agencies

• Ensure weekly, monthly & quarterly reports are analyzed, compiled and submitting to the GBV Team Leader for sharing.
• Contribute in the development of project proposal, concept notes & sector publications

• Ensuring that assigned projects achieve set goals, objectives and outcomes
• In collaboration with the Lead Psychosocial Counsellor and project staff analyse the GBV data to inform program interventions
• Assisting in mid-term or end of project evaluations.

• Develop annual procurement plans and & ensure timely procurement of sector items
• Keep inventory of all items in the sector & NFIs distributed disaggregated by age gender
• Assisting in the preparation of sector operation plans/work plans & reviews
• Ensure proper documentation of all project activities including case studies & human interest stories
• Ensure weekly & monthly SITREPs reports are Prepared and submit on time
• Develop annual procurement plans and & ensure timely procurement of sector items

Requirements;
University degree in social/political sciences or related field; with at least 3years experience working in protection, Human rights, gender issues with Refugee, asylum seekers, migrants and or other Vulnerable population and budgetary oversight and program development; Culture sensitive and respect for diversity, Excellent analytical and communication skills;

Commencement: Immediately
Duty Station: Dadaab, Refugee Camp, Garissa County, Kenya. Non-family duty station.
