Finlays Factory Machine Operators & Tea Estates Field Supervisors Jobs

    Finlays is Kenya’s largest agricultural export group employing over 22,000 people and annually exporting over 300 million stems of flowers, 7 million kilos of vegetables, 26 million kilos of black tea and 3 million kilos of tea extract.
    The organization is geographically located in Nairobi, Naivasha, Kericho, Mt. Kenya and Mombasa and works with 1,200 vegetable out growers and 10,000 tea out growers.
    Vacancies for Factory Machine Operators and Tea Estate Field Supervisors have arisen within the Company and we wish to recruit highly motivated team players with a drive to perform and succeed to fill these positions.

    1. Machine Operators
    The Job: Reporting to the Factory Assistant, the job holder will operate and maintain factory machinery, and supervise tea manufacturing activities in the assigned section.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Operating and maintaining production machinery in the process flow in order to meet set output targets and standards.
  • In charge of a section in the factory as assigned.
  • Continuous monitoring and maintenance of the factory machinery to ensure proper functionality throughout the production process.
  • Maintaining good employee relations within the team.
  • Train employees in the assigned section as required
  • Drive compliance to health & safety management systems, standard operating procedures and general company policies in the assigned section.Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferably plant option) or equivalent
  • At least 2 years hands on experience in factory machinery operation (including experience in operating wood fired boilers)2. Field Supervisors
    The Job: Reporting to the Tea Estate Assistant Manager, the job holder will implement field operation plans in order to achieve set targets and standards in tea production activities.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise assigned tea production operations and other field activities to achieve planned targets.
  • Train employees in the section as required .
  • Maintain good employee relations within the team.
  • Drive compliance to Health & Safety management systems and general company policies in the assigned section.Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Agricultural Sciences or equivalent
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in related field.How to Apply
