The Region Learning Leader is responsible for the overall Professional Skill & Leadership Development strategy and execution at the region level. Partnering closely with region HRMs, O&TD, and Business Learning Leaders, the role ensures that the GE Management Development Institute – Crotonville, fulfills its mission of building growth leaders and capabilities while executing on P&L financials. | |
The RLL oversees all Region Learning Managers directly in the region and has dotted lineleadership for the Region Learning Delivery Leader and all Training Coordinators supporting the region. Manages strategic relationships with key stakeholders like SHRMs, O&TD leaders and Business Leaders within the region and is the expert on learning and development needs specific to the region. • Lead the strategic management and execution of GE's learning delivery, processes and solutions across the GE businesses in the region to ensure optimization of the experiences, learnings, and development of employees in the region. • Partner with region HRMs, SHRMs, BLLs and Crotonville partners to create Regional Learning Playbooks to forecast demand, assess regional skill gaps, fulfill enterprise and business/region specific learning requests. Lead and manage annual financial and budgets for the region ensuring targets against OP are met. • Lead the talent development and growth of Learning Managers in the region ensuring a strong, accountable and engaging culture. • Partners with Organization & Talent Development function to ensure full integration into talent management processes (People review, Workforce Planning, Blue Print reviews) • Develops a learning function talent pipeline by attracting and retaining the highest quality learning professionals • Active and engaged member of Global Region Learning Leader team • Conducts internal & external best practices to keep GE Business cutting edge • Coordinates GE Africa Learning Advisory Board | |
•Fluency in English.. • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in OD, ID, L&D, Education, HR) with a minimum 5 years in a leadership role in a complex organization • Minimum 5 years of experience in L&D, HR, or a closely related discipline *Proven experience in doing business in Sub-Sahara Africa . Desired Characteristics • Fluency in French and/or Portugese desired • Master's Degree in a related field (MBA, L&D, HR) • Strong network and credibility within region(s) and business(es) preferred • Personal presence, program knowledge and communication skills to work with Sr. business leaders, high potential participants, and a broad range of training vendors • Able to handle multiple priorities; initiate, lead and manage change • Highly creative problem solving skills, coupled with exceptional process and project • Management/execution skills • Demonstrates a strong passion and headset for Client Service & Orientation • Strong demonstrated writing, facilitation, and verbal communication skills, articulating complex ideas in an easy to understand manner to all levels of the organization • Proven influencing skills in a challenging, matrixed environment and at the executive levels • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural/global environment • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills |
