The Nobeah Technologies Foundation is the not-for-profit counterpart of Nobeah Technologies Ltd.,a technology company focusing on technology with deep potential for social impact as well as the strong growth prospects required for sustainability. The innovativ e technology developed by Nobeah Technologies Ltd. targets transformative change, aiming to dramatically impact areas such as literacy, and health care. But in addition to these immediate potential impacts, Nobeah's core values are to seek deeply insightful solutions that reach the heart of social challenges, changing the very equations so that they solve themselves in a sustainable way. The Nobeah Foundation was created to distribute technologies from Nobeah Technologies Ltd. on a subsidized or free basis where those technologies could have dramatic impact.
Across Africa the Nobeah Technologies Foundation will raise money from both local and international donors to sponsor free distribution of the technologies from Nobeah. Through these activities the foundation will achieve its goal of supporting insightful game-changing innovations that impact the very equations of human suffering and limited opportunity so solutions emerge organically, then building capacity for the solutions to sustain themselves and provide a solid platform on which further innovations may find anchor.
ABOUT THE JOB
ROLE: Social Impact Partnerships manager
LOCATION: Nairobi, Kenya
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience. These positions require between 5-40 hours a week, M-F from 9-4:30pm. The positions are flexible to accommodate up to 100% remote work. The role will spend a flexible amount of time per week working with us to familiarize themselves with our overall leadership and strategic direction and to contribute their own vision to our investment and donor fund raising strategies.
These are volunteer positions. Remuneration during the volunteer period will be entirely based on a sliding commission. If the position leads to an offer of full-time employment being made compensation will be increased to include a base salary as well as commission. It is hoped that within 6-12 months the successful management candidate might take over in a paid role leading this team.
Summary of Position:
The newly formed Nobeah Foundation is seeking a Partnerships Manager responsible for developing corporate, government, not-for-profit and other partnerships, and implementing university internship programs to recruit qualified students for the Nobeah Foundation’s programs.
The successful candidate will be the local representative for the Nobeah Foundation to a rich network of partners. In this role, the candidate must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills as well as an obvious and infectious passion for using technology to impact social change. The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying the personnel required in their department and assisting in hiring the teams that will work under them.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Identify and lead exploratory discussions with potential partners. Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to the management team.
· Create and execute go to market initiatives with partners to meet organizational goals via successfully implemented strategic partnership initiatives
· For opportunities in pipeline manage and drive tactical execution with strategic partners.
· Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents (product, engineering, marketing, sales, legal and top external executives) and help define the go-to-market strategy.
· Ensure continuous improvement of status within the partner echo-system
· Understand the partners’ businesses and strategic objectives and proactively develop programs that deliver measurable and meaningful results to all parties
· Lead a cross-functional team with members from Nobeah’s various departments to ensure we deliver on contractual requirements and maximize potential return on our key partnerships
· Oversee day-to-day partner operations including performance tracking and reporting and proactive communication to partners regarding developments within Nobeah or the applicable NGO sector generally which may impact them
· Represent partner needs to product management organization so they can be captured in Nobeah’s product roadmap.
· Periodically prepare and present program results to internal and external executive audiences
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a background in business strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
· 4+ years of experience in partnerships management, technology consulting, business development roles in enterprise with demonstrable results.
· Strong attention to detail, highly entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent and highly collaborative, with a passion for and understanding of Nobeah products and the ability to quickly learn about new technologies.
· Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive projects at once in a fast paced environment with minimal direction.
· Very strong communication skills – both written and verbal. Must be able to develop complex strategies, present to executives, seek buy-off and drive tactical execution.
· In-depth experience operating within and across cross-functional teams (product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.)
· Be able to roll up sleeves and manage execution of evolving requirements
· Be able to autonomously take on planning and execution of various work streams Be aggressive and drive accountability in goal setting and execution
