MSF Switzerland (MSFCH) is a humanitarian medical organization providing emergency medical aid to populations in need.Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Location: Likoni, Mombasa County
Start date: ASAP
Length of contract: 3 months probationary contract with possibility of extension
The selected candidate will be reporting to Logistics Manager and he/she will provide administrative and operational support to the project.
Main Tasks include, but not limited to:
Implement maintenance plan for the project and monitor maintenance activities of infrastructures, management of non-medical stocks and equipment according to MSF standards.
Ensure vehicle fleet maintenance as well as instructing and monitoring drivers on correct driving habits and standard checks.
Manage and follow-up logistic orders coming from different departments or health facilities.
Ensure all communications equipment is functional.
Coordinate & lead the logistics team under supervision of the Logistics Manager.
Assure the security management in coordination with the Logistics Manager.
Ensure reception conditions of freight or arriving materials.
Check and follow-up of rehabilitation needs or construction work in accordance with instructions given by his/her supervisor.
Make local purchases according to MSF supply procedures.
Weekly reporting activities to the Logistics Manager.Requirements:
Essential secondary education and formal technical training – higher professional education (Bachelor) is an added advantage.
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position. Previous MSF experience is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, strong initiative, able to handle complex assignments with proactive attitude
Organized, autonomous and attentive to details
Able to handle stressful situations and respond to short term needs
Punctual, reliable and flexible to work long hours when required
