Plan International Kenya is seeking to recruit for the following position to be based in Tharaka.
OFFICE COORDINATOR - THARAKA (3-year contract)
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and provide effective, efficient and timely logistical HR, basic bookkeeping and administrative support at the Program Unit.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate all procurement activities for Tharaka Program Unit and ensure compliance to policies, guidelines and regulations.
- Responsible for timely delivery of program supplies to the field sites in line with project implementation
- Establish detailed requirements for office supplies, equipment and other goods required for workshops and meetings.
- Manage and coordinate vehicles and drivers used by the Program Unit team and participate in hiring additional vehicles when necessary
- Ensure that vehicles are periodically scheduled for maintenance
- Ensure that all assets and equipment used in the Program Unit are properly assessed and documented (including physical location and condition) to contribute to an updated country program asset register.
- Responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to conferences, workshops and meetings. Makes relevant hotel reservations and liaises with other suppliers as appropriate.
- To oversee the day-to-day running of office vehicles and the management of the office reception through supervision, coaching and motivation to PU Office Assistant and Drivers to enhance and manage their performance and development through continuous performances evaluation/reviews
