Davis & Shirtliff is looking for a qualified and talented engineering professional to fill in the position of a Premises Manager who will report to the Engineering Manager in the Nairobi Office
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Managing and monitoring all the civil engineering and construction projects.
Overseeing repairs and maintenance activities for the Kenya branches and premises.
Supervision of construction works and ensuring compliance with the relevant building codes and other regulatory requirements.
In liaison with the other stakeholders, supervise the implementation of civil and structural engineering projects for clients.
The provision of design and technical drawing works as required.Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of Upper Second Class honours.
The successful candidate will likely be under 40 years of age and have a minimum of three years' experience in a busy construction, civil or structural engineering environment.
Experience in Solar Structures, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Swimming Pool
Civil Works or Equipment Foundations will be advantageous.
Project management experience will be essential.
Competence using AutoCAD is mandatory.
Membership of an engineering related professional body.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
A natural forward planner, comfortable dealing with construction workers, clients and other stakeholders.A self-starter, hands-on problem-solver, energetic, go-getter who can work without close supervision.
