We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of a Web Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Manager, the position holder will, among other duties, be responsible for:
Develop, design, implement and maintain the ZU website and Intranet, Library website, MIS Portals, eLearning website and social media interfaces in addition to any special ZU projects, such as student clubs’ sites, and any emerging web-based applications
Coordinate plans for all website communication
Monitor, improve, and update the publication and performance of all Zetech online presence
Take responsibility for the content, quality, design and style of the university’s websites
Enforces guidelines, standards, and policies as they pertain to all websites within the university
Optimize web architecture for navigability (browser and mobile platforms)
Maintain, converts and optimize published documents for online use
Assist other departments in performing need analysis and refining user requirement for online applications
Serve as a help desk for website and portals based inquiries
Track and analyze web traffic statistics for periodic reporting and review of content effectiveness
Checks hyperlinks regularly to insure validity
Create user manuals and be the custodian of source code for all Zetech online-based applications and portalsQualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field from a recognized university
Proficiency in HTML, ASP, .NET, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, XML and other web technologies, standards, and frameworks
Experience with web-hosting environment, Cpanel, and common CMS e.g. Word Press, Joomla, and Drupal
Knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL database queries and functions for custom web reporting and formatting
Knowledge of IIS, LAMP stack, and web based authentication (Basic, Forms, Claims Based, Windows)
Proficiency in SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Experience in mobile development technologies - Java micro edition and Android
Graphic design experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Expression Studio
Knowledge of Microsoft web server and development products, for instance, Expression Studio, Visual Studio, InfoPath, Dreamweaver, and other WYSIWYG software
Experience with API programming for common applications such as Google and Social Media
Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills in file management with a large variety of file types
