The Role
The role of the Human Resources and Organisational Development (HR & OD) Partner is to provide coordinated leadership, technical support and strategic direction for HR function across the region. You will have responsibility for ensuring Plan’s standards and good practice in terms of HR policies, procedures and practices are adhered to whilst reflecting local considerations such as employment law and culture. This is an important role within the region - as al business partner, you will be helping Plan move forward by ensuring that the HR function supports the organisation in achieving its goals. You'll also be responsible for developing the HR network across the region, sharing good practice and building capacity at country level.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is able to partner with the business to drive forward the people agenda. This is not a 'traditional' HR role - enforcing policies, reactively managing issues as they come up - you will need to be operating at the highest level, providing expert advice on change management, HR strategy, and talent management amongst others. You should have significant experience operating at a senior level, ideally operating at a regional level.
A minimum of University degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology, Business Management and Administration or other related field.

Type of Role: 5 year fixed term contract.
Location: Based at the Regional Office in Nairobi with travel to the country offices and HQ.
Reports to: Deputy Regional Director - Operations
Salary: Competitive salary plus full expat benefits. This is an accompanied position and a full relocation package will be available.
