Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) intends to recruit a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor for a forthcoming health service delivery program in 1-2 regions in Kenya. S/he will work closely with the Chief of Party to design, implement, and oversee all monitoring, evaluation, and documentation activities for the project. The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor will be based in Nairobi or Mombasa for the duration of the project.
Job Responsibilities: • Oversee the design and implementation of systems for providing routine M&E data feedback to partners and stakeholders • Support project technical staff to develop and finalize project reports, query databases, review data, and assure data quality • Ensure that the project is monitored in accordance with USAID technical programmatic and operational guidelines • Provide technical assistance to partners for the development of data collection tools, data management, and data analysis
Required Qualifications
• Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, demography, or other relevant field with background in statistics • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring and evaluation in the international development context; experience in Kenya strongly preferred • Demonstrated ability to handle large quantitative data sets, conduct data quality checks, analyze data using statistical packages, and contribute to reporting • Hands on experience at site level supporting data use and management • High level of understanding of the national data reporting system in Kenya, and a strong understanding of USAID reporting requirements • Thorough knowledge of MOH and donor online reporting systems • Proficiency in English is required; additional proficiency in local languages a plus
