A pharmaceutical firm based in Nairobi is seeking to fill the following vacancies;
Registered Pharmaceutical Technologists
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Receiving, filling and dispensing drugs and medical supplies as ordered or prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner/s.
• Clarification of prescription to patients and notification of any prescription errors to the prescriber
• Explain to the patients the methods that each drug they will be taking shall be administered and label drugs with the correct dose.
• Ensure prompt communication to clients of any therapeutic incompatibilities and potential drug interactions.
• Listen to walk-in patients and prescribe the appropriate drug or refer them to a doctor in more complicated cases and counsel them.
• Ensuring pharmacy equipments are kept in good working condition.
• Filling/storing prescriptions and maintaining them for the required number of years as guided by law.
• Keep accurate records of all drugs sold.
• Alert the in-charge if an order needs to be made.
• Ensure the drugs are neatly arranged.
• Ensure that all medications sold are labeled appropriately with the dosage indicated; provide additional information on a sheet of paper when required.
• Ensure that the pharmaceutical SOPs are always adhered to.
• Promoting rational drug therapy.
• Prepare the daily, weekly, monthly reports for the pharmacy.

Minimum Job Requirements:
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
• At least 2 years relevant work experience.
• Excellent Customer Experience to all clients.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Ms Office packages.
• High level integrity
