Marketing Coordinator in Nairobi – Kenya

Our client is a multi-jurisdictional lottery operator seeking to develop activities in Africa in the launch of a new product in September. The aim is to install with the support of the corresponding local lotteries in six countries in West, Central and East Africa, 5.000 point of sales distributing the product. Those outlets will be connected to a data centre based in Luxembourg.
Due to a very fast moving development of its activities our client is currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator in Nairobi – Kenya.
Duties
•    To work closely with the Head of Marketing in Africa.
•    To design, prepare and organize of marketing activities in Nairobi – Kenya.
•    To creatively set up the company’s actions (street marketing, sponsoring, event, POS animation, PR) to support the launch of the new product.
•    Must have a relevant marketing & communication track record preferably with a strong event management focus to implement and manage the company’s strategies.
•    Benchmarking and identification of providers that will be retained for the execution of event management operations.
•    Financial management, budget management and reporting to the Head of Marketing.
•    Advise the company on media, set up
•    Performance review and analysis of marketing operations.
•    Active collaboration with the National Lottery (internal marketing team, retailers…).
•    Must be able to bring innovative ideas to manage a product launch phase and you feel comfortable to work in sectors such as FMCG, Telecom, Gaming
•    To share your experience with the other Marketing Coordinators of the company (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Congo Brazzaville, DRC).
Skills
•    Must have a Bachelors Degree in Communication / Marketing
•    You have at least 3 to 5 years experience in a communication agency or in a marketing/communication department from the FMCG sector.
•    You are good in setting up and organizing creative actions from scratch and feel at ease to manage street marketing operations.
•    You have excellent interpersonal skills to manage and build relationships with partners, retailers and suppliers.
•    You have leadership skills. You are very well organised and used to manage operations in a timely and professional manner. You are a good team worker.
•    You are fluent in English and know very well the Kenyan consumer habits.
