Maintenance Planner
Job Purpose Statement
The objective of the job is to plan, schedule and execute planned maintenance activities with continuous improvement for all factory equipment in order to deliver reliability of assets for manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
Prepare, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling flow process including spares management, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.
Classification of equipment and provision of the scope of the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair, preventive and predictive activities on the organization’s plant and equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and maintenance department performance.
Convert the organization’s asset management and maintenance strategy into workplace activities.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical engineering
Have at least 2 years maintenance supervision experience in a manufacturing environment in a FMCG Factory.
Experience in use of TPM tools and continuous improvement concepts.
Project Management skills and excellent attention to detail.
Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical and problem solving skills with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Process and Packaging Engineer
Job Purpose Statement
Provide design, technical and operational support to production processes and the packaging function by monitoring, maintaining and improving quality of process and efficiency of packaging to guarantee quality products.
Key responsibilities
Use of lean tools (e.g six sigma, value stream mapping) to improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Benchmark key processes by performing mass / energy balances to identify opportunities to increase product quality, process capacity, and productivity while minimizing energy consumption.
Optimise process conditions and implement adequate control measures to guarantee quality first time in all processes.
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
Development of complete package concept and specifications, and improvements to existing packaging configurations as well as application of new technologies, materials and cost reduction projects where appropriate by delivering perfect machine material interfaces.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Packaging Technology or equivalent.
Have at least 2 years’ experience within a packaging design or process environment in a FMCG Factory.
Experience in use of TPM tools and continuous improvement concepts.
Project Management skills and excellent attention to detail.
Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical and problem solving skills with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
