Responsibilities of the role will include:
Manage financial processes and procedures and optimize costs so as to contribute to a positive Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) for the business
Ensure accounting processes conform with all applicable policies including company and group policies
Effectively and efficiently manage the cash and liquid assets of the Company with a view to ensuring that obligations to customers are met as and when due.
Support revenue targets by negotiating favourable interest rates for deposits in Trust account for interest income and negotiate or arrange external finance when necessary
Manage internal and external audit exercises. Ensure timely completion and coordination of quarterly audits with no qualification or material adjustments
Review, preparation and corporate governance compliance on annual audited financial statements.
Liaise with external and internal auditors to always ensure a clean audit report
Ensure operation within budget by monitoring and tracking of spending as per Annual Operating Plan
Develop and implement financial control policies and procedures and ensure these are well documented and updated on a regular basis
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and adherence to the Central Bank of Kenya stipulations on Mobile Commerce operations

Bachelors’ degree in accounting or business related field with professional qualification: CPA, ACA or ACCA. MBA qualification is optional
5 years of work experience in Finance with at least 3 years in accounting within telecommunications, banking or Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
Result oriented person with problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong work ethics with good leadership skills, able to work within and manage a team of professional, guiding and coordinating towards achieving common objectives.
Able to network both internally and externally
Excellent knowledge of all accounting functional areas.Qualifications:
