MORTGAGE BUSINESS MANAGER, NAKURU

The Position
Reporting to the Head, Retail Mortgage Business, this position will be responsible for the growth, profitability and monitoring of the mortgage portfolio i the Nakuru region and environs whilst ensuring implementation of an effective risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management.
  • Drive growth and monitor the mortgage business liability and asset portfolios to achieve set business targets.
  • Grow the customer base, ensure retention of existing customers through high level of customer satisfaction, cross selling and enhanced Relationship Management.
  • Delivery of excellent customer service through maintenance of high service standards.
  •  Overall management of the Mortgage Centre through efficient utilization of resources.
  • Manage and monitor the asset designated portfolio at the domicile branch for enhanced quality book.
  • Ensure compliance to Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework.
  • Motivate, coach and develop a high performing team
 The Person
  • For the above position, the successful applicants should have the following minimum qualifications: -
  • A holder of a degree from a recognized university in a business related area. Possession of an MBA or Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Have at least 4 years management experience in Banking, 3 years of which must be covering
  • Customer/corporate relationship management.
  • Corporate/Mortgage Credit Analysis and Administration.
  • Mortgage/Construction Finance.
  • Possess sound knowledge of Mortgage industry, products and ability to offer product solutions to business clients.
  • Should have strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing customer focus.
  • Should have excellent high quality interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to network and develop strong business relations
  • Should be innovative in identifying and harnessing new and existing opportunities to maximize business.
  • Should also have a good understanding of risk, credit policies and procedures.
