HEAD OF CUSTODY SERVICES
The Position
Reporting to the Director Corporate Banking Division, the job-holder will be responsible for executing the Custodial Services strategy, enhance business growth, drive initiatives that enhance client relationships and ensure operational efficiency and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the Custodial Services Strategy.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of new Custody Services products.
- Develop and lead KCB’s Facility agency business with respect to loan syndications, bond issues and other similar or related capital markets transactions in line with international industry standards.
- Delivery of consistent seamless customer service through maintenance of high service standards, relationship Management and partnerships for the Custody business (customers, fund managers, brokers, regulators, administrators, stakeholders).
- Enforcement of risk excellence and compliance requirements by Co-coordinating Internal and external audits for the unit, to ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and internal controls.
- Provide a readily available, service-focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of contact for new and existing customer.
- Develop and manage Custodial Services strategic partnerships - Ensure appropriate representation and participation of KCB in Client, Board Meetings and Annual General Meetings.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards commensurate with the requirements of market best practice.
- Ensure provision of high quality, cost effective service and continuously improve service offerings.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with Custodial Services upto including in KCB subsidiaries.
- Provide leadership, develop and motivate the team members.
- Ensure all regulatory returns and any other information requested by the regulators are accurately compiled and submitted within the stipulated timelines.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in any Business related field and a Master’s degree in any business related field. Any Professional qualifications in ACCA, CPA (k) will be an added advantage.
- Must have Custody Certification.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Corporate Banking, with at least 2 years in a management position with exposure in Custodial Services.
- Experience in people management with excellent leadership attributes.
- Sound business awareness.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills & interpersonal Skills.
