The IUCN Eastern and Southern Africa Business, Economics and Biodiversity Thematic Programme (BEB) works closely with the private sector, development agencies, governments, NGOS and communities to:
• Minimize the environment footprint of the private sector and enhancing its contribution to biodiversity conservation;

IUCN ESARO is seeking a Regional Technical Coordinator for the Business, Economics and Biodiversity Thematic Programme (BEB). The Regional Technical Coordinator shall be responsible for providing overall leadership to the thematic programme – both in terms of strategic direction and oversight as well as the management and coordination of day to day operations of projects within the thematic portfolio. She/he shall work closely with the Director of Programmes and the IUCN Global Business and Biodiversity Programme (BBP) particularly with regards to the strategic management of the thematic programme. With respect to operational management, including day to day implementation of projects, the Regional Technical Coordinator shall closely collaborate with the Heads of Country Offices with the support of Programme Officers
Preferred Location for the position is Pretoria, South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya
