We are seeking candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade and Investment Center Program in East Africa. The program will promote transformational economic growth in East Africa, including through trade and investment, by promoting regional integration and trade; expanding African capacity to effectively access and benefit from global markets; and encouraging U.S. companies to trade with and invest in Africa. We are seeking value chain development specialists who meet the following requirements:
Senior Investment Specialist
- Master’s degree or equivalent in banking, finance, business administration, economics, public policy, international and/or agricultural development, international relations, or related area or equivalent;
- At least ten years of relevant experience, five of which should be in developing countries, preferably in Africa;
- Extensive experience working with commercial investment, development banks, financial services companies in the international field or in international finance;
- Extensive experience in originating, analyzing and structuring financial transactions;
- Experience in catalyzing development results through the mobilization of private sector capital;
- Maintains close relationships with important capital markets actors, including regulatory bodies, commercial banks, microfinance institutions, investment funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and other donors.
