We are seeking candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade and Investment Center Program in East Africa. The program will promote transformational economic growth in East Africa, including through trade and investment, by promoting regional integration and trade; expanding African capacity to effectively access and benefit from global markets; and encouraging U.S. companies to trade with and invest in Africa. We are seeking value chain development specialists who meet the following requirements:
Senior Economic Policy Expert
- Ph.D. or equivalent in economics, public policy, international trade, or related area
- At least fifteen years (ten years with Ph.D.) of relevant experience, five of which should be in Africa;
- At least five years experience analyzing, tracking, and working to improve trade policy and global competitiveness in in Africa;
- Strongly preferred at least three years of experience managing and coordinating policy improvement activities;
- Strongly preferred experience serving in an advisory capacity to high-level government officials on trade policy and global competitiveness issues;
- Demonstrated ability and experience with cost benefit analysis and general equilibrium analysis;
