Reporting to the Head of Business, the following will be key result areas for the position:
Drive Retail strategy, provide leadership and guidance in growing Retail business;
Develop and cascade the Retail Banking targets, customer acquisition and retention;
Develop creative and innovative ideas and sales opportunities for the Bank;
Grow and monitor Retail liability and quality asset portfolios;
Supervise overall management of the branch network, branch expansion and ensure superior quality service is offered to customers;
Monitor and ensure strict adherence to internal controls across the businesses function;
Optimal utilization of human capital to achieve the bank’s Retail business objectives;
Monitor and analyze branch performance, and give feedback to Management on the strategic direction for the retail business;
Ensure seamless delivery of top of the range innovative products to customers;
Work with other business units to achieve the bank’s strategic objectives,
Demonstrate competent leadership and positive influence to the business.
Knowledge and skills required:
Degree from a recognized University preferably in a Business related field;
Masters qualification will be desirable;
Professional qualification in banking;
A minimum of 10-15 years proven experience in a branch environment, 5 years of which must be in senior retail management;
In-depth knowledge of the Bank’s Retail products, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate and Treasury departments;
In-depth knowledge of technical support required e.g. IT Systems;
A comprehensive understanding of the business market;
Branch and Leadership Management Skills,
Performance Management skills.
