About the Job:
Deloitte is seeking a Senior Investment Specialist. S/he will work for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade and Investment Center Program in East Africa. The program will promote transformational economic growth in East Africa, through trade and investment, by promoting regional integration and trade, expanding African capacity to effectively access and benefit from global markets, and encouraging U.S. companies to trade with and invest in Africa.
Deloitte is seeking a Senior Investment Specialist. S/he will work for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade and Investment Center Program in East Africa. The program will promote transformational economic growth in East Africa, through trade and investment, by promoting regional integration and trade, expanding African capacity to effectively access and benefit from global markets, and encouraging U.S. companies to trade with and invest in Africa.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, International and/or Agricultural Development, International Relations, or related area or equivalent;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, 5 of which should be in developing countries, preferably in Africa;
- Extensive experience working with commercial investment, development banks, financial services companies in the international field or in international finance;
- Extensive experience in originating, analyzing, and structuring financial transactions;
- Experience in catalyzing development results through the mobilization of private sector capital;
- Maintains close relationships with important capital markets actors, including regulatory bodies, commercial banks, MFI, investment funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and other donors.
