Position: IP & Data Design EngineerRegion: Nairobi
Reporting to: IP & Data Manager

Role Purpose: The Network Engineer will actively participate in designing, building, dimensioning and optimization of the IP and access networks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
Operational (incl. Planning):

IP Network design, deployment, integration, commissioning and service migration

IP network planning and dimensioning

Network Equipment Life-cycle management

Liaise with the vendor & Skill center to install new approved software releases and patches.

Hardware and service acceptance for new installations

Work Order Process management under change management engineering rules

Periodic reporting on network KPIs

Support fault escalations from RUN

Perform additional tasks as it may be required.Academic / Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In IT or Computer Science/Engineering/Telecommunications

At least 2-5 years in IP network architecture and design environment.

Desired Minimum certifications : Cisco CCNA,Professional Knowledge:

Switching and Routing Skills

Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI Model and standard network technologies

Fluency in English

MS OfficeKey Competencies:
