1. Construction Foreman – Kakuma Refugee Camp, Turkana County (REF. FM – KRC) - 2 Positions
Reporting to the Clerk of Works, the incumbent will provide technical support in supervision of field operations in construction and maintenance of refugee shelters at the Camp.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of all construction materials received on site
Keep record of all daily hired casuals and forward the same to the Clerk of Works
Carry out rapid shelter needs assessment
Supervise casuals in site demarcation / camp planning
Supervise artisans / casuals in shelter construction including emergency tents / shades
Maintain records on shelters constructed
Work closely with shelter committees and shelter monitors in identifying the shelter gaps in individual communities
Act as foreman on the construction sites
Minimum Qualifications:
At least Form IV – KCSE or equivalent
Diploma in Masonry / Carpentry or Government Trade Test Grade II
Basic computer skills
At least two (2) years experience in a similar position.

2. Field Officer, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health - Kakuma Refugee Camp
(REF: FORH - KRC)
Reporting to the Sector Head, Reproductive Health, this position is responsible for building capacities of adolescents with life skills to prevent teenage pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections and HIV while developing mitigation mechanisms for school retention of girls. This is a resident non accompanied posting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare programs for seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns for the local population on HIV and AIDS as per the projects work plan and compile reports on the same
Work closely with other trained Reproductive Health Service providers including CHWs, CDW, FHFE, TBAs and community leaders
Plan, organize and conduct focussed group discussions on Reproductive Health and HIV and AIDS related issues in the camps
Work closely with vulnerable groups in the community to initiate livelihoods interventions for economic self reliance
Conduct rehabilitation sessions for SGBV perpetrators
Facilitate anti-substance abuse response campaigns
Maintain an inventory of assets and resource materials of the Council supplied by the project
Attend co-ordination meetings with implementing partners as required by the Camp co-ordinator
Identify, assess and follow up vulnerable populations in the community e.g. CSWs
Compile weekly and monthly program situational reports
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Nursing / Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing with HIV and AIDS or PMTCT or VCT counseling skills
High computer literacy
2 years relevant experience in refugee operations
Other Competencies
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Socio-economic counseling skills will be an added advantage
3. Accountant - Kakuma Refugee Camp
(REF: A - KRC)
Reporting to the Camp Coordinator while maintaining a professional reporting relationship with Senior Accountant Programmes, this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with established internal controls. This is a residential non accompanied position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain physical records and books related to the Refugee Services Project
Verify authenticity of various payments, ensuring proper authorization and accounting to appropriate budget lines
Review returns made and ensure that they are accurate, complete, properly analyzed and coded
Monitor float balances and reconcile on regular basis
Prepare monthly Income and Expenditure Report to head office as part of the monthly Management Accounts
Do monthly bank reconciliations for the Camps Accounts at the Camp level
Prepare Quarterly Financial Report to the donors
Prepare UNHCR audit reports
Liaise with UNHCR, NCCK Kakuma Office and Head Office Management on all financial matters on the project
Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure that requests for funds are made promptly
Supervise Kakuma based assistant accountant
Minimum Qualifications:
KCSE or equivalent
CPA (K)
Three years experience in a similar position

4. Resort Technician - Jumuia Conference and Beach Resort, Kanamai
(REF: RT -JCBR) (Re-advertised)
Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position is responsible for maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment at the Resort.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of the Resort maintenance department
Attend to all electrical, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, refrigeration and mechanicalworks and repairs
Attend to all general repairs required in the Resort
Prepare and implement planned programmed maintenance schedule for the entire Resort
Ensure that the Resort is compliant with all the legal provisions pertaining to National Environmental Management Authority and any other relevant provisions with regard to maintenance
Maintain all relevant records required in the department
Minimum Qualifications:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
Government Trade Test Grade II
2 years experience in a similar position

5. Accountant - Jumuia Conference and Beach Resort, Kanamai
(REF: A -JCBR)
Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with established internal controls.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and update books of accounts
Supervise the Cashier and other Accounts staff
Prepare monthly financial reports, management reports, and other financial statements
Prepare the Resort budget and budgetary control variance analysis reports
Follow up with creditors and debtors and update their accounts regularly and report to management
Maintain the fixed assets register
Do bank reconciliations
Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit schedules and financial statements for audit purposes
Advise management on cash management and short-term investments.
Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements
Coordinate periodic review of costing of services provided by the Resort
Ensure sound internal controls
Ensure effective stock management and stocks reconciliation
Control purchasing activities including purchasing requisition, quotations and originating the LPO, and produce a monthly purchasing report

Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring effective sales and promotion of the resort services and facilities with an aim of meeting set targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver monthly sales targets for specific market segments as set by the Manager
Develop and maintain information on business intelligence mainly focusing on consumer preferences, buying patterns, budgets and recommendations for growth
Feed and update booking system on a daily basis, recording and confirming all necessary changes
Develop and maintain good relationships with all clients with the aim of developing a loyal repeat client database
Produce weekly sales reports on clients visited, new business sourced, debts collected and complaints received. In addition, produce a monthly summary sales report reflecting total income generated.

Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position is in charge of the front office operations including managing the reception, receiving guests, disseminating information to other departments as well as promoting sales with a view ensuring a full house status.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reserve, register and assign rooms to guests
Be a continuous source of information for the guests during their stay in the Resort
Prepare and update guest bills on a daily basis
Prepare statements of bills over a specified amount
Handle booking correspondences
Obtain feedback from guests and clients
Supervise the room racks, guest rack, reservation rack, guests room keys
Receive and distribute guest mail
Make and receive telephone calls and compile bill summaries for both paid and administrative calls
Keep the maintenance book
Solve guest problems to their satisfaction
Co-ordinate special needs with other Heads of Departments e.g. Airport shuttle

Reporting to the Internal Auditor, this position is responsible for providing efficient and effective support in the coordinating, inspecting and reviewing of internal control systems to ensure that the Council’s assets are safeguarded against misuse and loss.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing Internal Control Systems
Reviewing efficiency and effectiveness with which Council assets are employed
Assess compliance of operations with established policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations
Ensuring logical and effective consultation and coordination between external and internal audits

9. Legal Officer - Head Office

Reporting to the General Secretary, this position is responsible for providing and facilitating legal, technical, institutional and related services to the Council.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer legal and technical counsel to the Council
Draw, peruse, complete and interpret legal documents on behalf of the Council
Draw and accept court processes affecting the Council and take action as necessary
Liaise with Council’s external lawyers in legal matters affecting the Council
Service, organize and facilitate constitutional and governance meetings
Draft notices, agenda and minutes for constitutional meetings and governance meetings
Keep corporate members’ records and facilitate processing of new applications for membership
Ensure that the Council’s property and staff are adequately insured
Administer the Council’s general and life insurance policies
Provide designated technical support to Council’s subsidiaries, affiliates and corporate members
Keep track of new legislation and advise the Council accordingly
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
A current Advocate’s Practicing Certificate

10. Resort Manager - Jumuia Guest House, Nakuru

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Resorts, this position will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the Resort with a view to ensuring that it operates at a profit while at the same time offering quality service in a Christian environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide overall guidance, direction and supervision of all business activities of the Resort in line with her vision, mission and strategic / business plan
Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the strategic / business plan, management plans, annual operating plans and budgets
Provide overall guidance and support to management and other staff on the day-to-day operations of the Resort

Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer - Operations, this position is responsible for facilitating the planning and implementation of the Council's work in Nyanza Region with particular emphasis on programme delivery, resource mobilization and financial accountability. NCCK Programme work broadly focuses on Governance, Social Services, Emergencies and Capacity Building for its Membership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all Council’s work in the Region
Facilitate partnerships and networks between the Council and the Membership, communities, government and other stakeholders within the Region
Secretary to the Regional Committee and Regional Conference.
Prepare and administer regional budgets
Prepare and / or review regional work plans and reports and send the same to Head Office in a timely manner
Facilitate resource identification and mobilisation in the Region
Initiate and support resource mobilisation efforts in the Region
Co-ordinate and monitor programme activities in the Region and ensure proper feedback to the Head Office
Provide leadership and direction to the staff in the Region by allocating tasks and responsibilities, managing performance and recommending training needs

Menu planning and management to ensure efficient food dispensing, service and presentation in order to meet guest and staff satisfaction

14. Driver - Kakuma Refugee Camp
(REF. D – KRC)
Reporting to the Logistics Assistant, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient and safe transportation of authorized persons and deliveries, as well as for maintaining and using Council motor vehicles in a clean and mechanically sound condition within the legal requirements of the government of Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that work tickets are maintained for the assigned motor vehicles
Ensure the necessary daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance and safety checks are carried out on the assigned vehicles
Monitor maintenance and repair needs of the vehicles and report to the supervisor any faults noted and coordinate rectification of the same
Ensure that all the necessary documentation including license, insurance, others for each vehicle are valid at all times
Undertake fuel requisition and key in all fuel used for the day and analyze the consumption on daily basis
Collect goods and people in good time and ensure safe delivery to designated places
Minimum Qualifications:
At least Form IV – KCSE or equivalent
A valid driving license class BCE
PSV License
Basic skills in motor vehicle mechanics (Grade Test II)
