Fixed Term until December 2018 KES 60,000 – KES 90,000 per month (dependent upon skills and experience)
THE CENTRE FOR MATERNAL AND NEWBORN HEALTH at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is an active academic unit seeking to improve maternal and newborn health globally. One of our key programmes is the Making It Happen programme, supported by UK Aid.
The aim of the programme is to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity by increasing availability and improving the quality of Skilled Birth Attendance (SBA) and Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC). The purpose is to ensure best practice and an improved policy environment in maternal and newborn health which will be reflected in a step change in the coverage and uptake of quality Skilled Birth Attendance (SBA) and Essential (Emergency) Obstetric Care (EOC) and Newborn Care (NC).
In order to support the development of these programmes LSTM Kenya is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator and Logistics Assistant to join our growing multi-disciplinary team reporting to the Programme Coordinator, LSTM Kenya.
In this demanding role you will plan and coordinate logistics required to facilitate programme/ Studies in the field. You will also be responsible for collating issues raised in the field stations and assist to plan and coordinate support supervision and activities by programme team members and MOH partners.
Educated to Degree Level or Equivalent within a Business Administration area you will have proven work experience in supporting project / programmes and providing high quality, effective logistical coordination. It is also essential that you have excellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft applications and record keeping skills .
