We are seeking candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade and Investment Center Program in East Africa. The program will promote transformational economic growth in East Africa, including through trade and investment, by promoting regional integration and trade; expanding African capacity to effectively access and benefit from global markets; and encouraging U.S. companies to trade with and invest in Africa. We are seeking value chain development specialists who meet the following requirements:
Senior Agricultural Trade Expert
- Master’s degree or equivalent in international trade, agricultural economics, public policy, business administration, agricultural development or related area or equivalent;
- At least ten years of relevant experience, five of which should be in developing countries, preferably in Africa;
- Extensive experience related to developing an enabling environment for agricultural investment and trade.
- Demonstrated ability policy development and technical assistance in implementation;
- Ability to work collaboratively with institutional and private sector partners and stakeholders in a multi-country setting;
