About the Job:
FSDA is seeking a Senior Project Director. S/he will be responsible for all operational and contractual aspects of the program.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate a comprehensive program/project management, monitoring and evaluation system based on financial sector deepening trust (FSD) best practice;
- Responsible for all aspects of risk management across FSDA (program delivery and program management);
- Support colleagues across FSDA on all contracting/procurement related matters, ensuring adherence to FSDA’s operating principles and agreed procurement procedures;
- Facilitate opportunities for co-investment and collaboration with other FSDs to help the FSD network achieve its full potential;
- Provide high quality FSDA-wide management information to the director, other FSDA colleagues and DFID as requested;
- Act as a focal point between FSDA and major funders, especially DFID, providing them with reports and project information in a timely fashion;
- Oversee the set-up and management of outsourced program areas (e.g. in the thematic programs pillar);
- Manage the relationship with the professional services provider, as well as other critical relationships (such as banking and legal);
- In conjunction with the professional services provider, coordinate meetings across FSDA’s governance structure (members, FSDA council, board, board committees etc.);
- Manage FSDA’s administrative team.
Qualifications:
- More than 10 years of programme management/grants management experience including strong experience in procurement, including at least 5 years in Africa;
- More than 15 years of working experience in a relevant environment;
- Knowledge of donor reporting processes (ideally DFID);
- Demonstrated first-hand experience of the rigorous project management skills that are needed to ensure large investment projects stay on track and deliver transformative impact;
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk;
- Excellent skills in written and spoken English.
