The Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa, Mary Mother of Africa Pastoral Centre, which is the resource centre for the promotion and realization of the Pastoral Vision of the Archdiocese, through social and spiritual growth seminars, conference and retreats, wishes to recruit a highly competent, proactive and result- oriented individual to fill the Pastoral Centre’s Manager.
Reporting Line: Administrator
Job Purpose: General supervision of the space, rental premises, Catering and housekeeping services at the Pastoral Centre
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure and support the mission of the church in the Diocese of Mombasa
General Supervision and daily administration tasks of the entire Pastoral Centre, including rental,accommodations,catering and housekeeping services offered at the centre
Oversee the general supervision, maintenance ,supplies, renovations and furnishings of all the space and rented premises in the centre
Looking into the general welfare of lessors,guests and staff
Develop marketing plan to promote catering operations and hostel accommodations to individuals and Organizations
Managing financial budgets, plans and obligations while providing periodic reports as required to the board, for Centre’s management
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws ,health and safety standards and other statutory regulations
Be a secretary to the board
Any other responsibilities or targets as assigned by the board
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in hospitality management or its equivalent from a recognized institution
Have served in a similar position for at least three (3) years
Be proficient in computer applications
Personal Traits
Is a committed catholic, with good recommendation from own Parish Priest
Is a person of excellent Organization and public relations skills
Result oriented, self motivated and energetic
