Physiotherapist Internships in Kenya

Responsibilities

Assessing the children’s physical abilities and needs;

Developing of a treatment plan according to the individualized needs;

Implementing programs including therapeutic exercise, manipulations ,massage, education, and the use of various physiotherapy equipment

Providing consultation on injury prevention and health promotion

Care for children with disabilities
Minimum qualifications:

A Degree/Diploma in physiotherapy (at least one year since graduation)

Basic computer proficiency

Report writing skills

Training and facilitation skills

Proven participation in community activities

Prior experience in working with children with disability will be an added advantage

Willing and highly motivated to work for the marginalized

High level of commitment, responsibility and self initiative

A team player

Patience

Strength and stamina;

Excellent verbal and written

Communication skills

The ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Internship timeline: 3 months

Estimated hours per week : 20 hours/week
