Physiotherapist Internships in Kenya

  • Responsibilities
  • Assessing the children’s physical abilities and needs;
  • Developing of a treatment plan according to the individualized needs;
  • Implementing programs including therapeutic exercise, manipulations ,massage, education, and the use of various physiotherapy equipment
  • Providing consultation on injury prevention and health promotion
  • Care for children with disabilities
    Minimum qualifications:
  • A Degree/Diploma in physiotherapy (at least one year since graduation)
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Report writing skills
  • Training and facilitation skills
  • Proven participation in community activities
  • Prior experience in working with children with disability will be an added advantage
  • Willing and highly motivated to work for the marginalized
  • High level of commitment, responsibility and self initiative
  • A team player
  • Patience
  • Strength and stamina;
  • Excellent verbal and written
  • Communication skills
  • The ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
    Internship timeline: 3 months
    Closing date: 30th December 2013
    Estimated hours per week : 20 hours/week
