Head, Corporate Affairs & Resource Mobilization

Pan Africa Christian University, a Chartered Private University, is seeking to fill the position outlined below from a suitable candidate.

Job Title: Head, Corporate Affairs & Resource Mobilization

Job Purpose: In consultation with the Vice Chancellor, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Resource mobilization will ensure the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies and policies and spearhead the role of fundraising, grant writing and general resource mobilization activities to fulfill the University’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the University’s communication and marketing strategy for promoting the academic programs as well as strongly positioning the University’s brand in the market;
  • Carry out market research to clearly identify market needs that will inform academic programs’ development, improved service delivery, and identify opportunities for the University’s growth;
  • Be in charge of developing Public Relations and Communication policies and strategies to all the publics of the University (both internal and external);
  • Organize communication and marketing events to the various publics of the institution;
  • Develop all necessary communication and marketing tools and branding materials for the University;
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the University Website;
  • Oversee the development, implementation and control of the Communication and Marketing budget;
  • Supervise all staff in the Communication and Marketing Department;
  • Advise management on viable alternatives for the University’s market growth and strategy formulation;
  • Develop and implement local and international resource mobilization strategies; identifying a funding base and fundraising partners;
  • Developing and maintaining a donor database;
  • Writing funding and grant proposals;
  • Building and sustaining sound relationships with donors;
  • Sensitizing all University stakeholders on resource mobilization activities;
  • Any other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Masters degree in a relevant field. Specialization in marketing and/or fundraising will be an advantage;
  • At least six years working experience, three of which must be in a similar position in a university context;
  • Must be a team leader and able to work independently with demonstrated initiative and creativity;
  • Must exhibit exceptional public relations and presentation skills;
  • Must have perceptive analytical abilities and superior ability in writing and speaking;
  • Must have thorough and detailed understanding of the substantive and administrative elements of fund raising and grant writing processes. A clear demonstration of past achievement in similar roles will be an added advantage;
  • Must be able to initiate external relations and contacts with key funders and donor agencies.
  • Should have broad knowledge of computer applications;
  • Must be a person of high integrity, born again Christian and a member of a reputable local Church;
  • Must show understanding and willingness to adhere to the PAC University Statement of Faith.
