This role reports to Quality Manager, KBL
Context/Scope
The role operates under Operations Department within KBL supply.
The role is responsible for leading the quality and operation teams to deliver operational excellence in meeting the brewing quality targets, providing
optimum customer service in terms of quality and implementing brewing quality and volume improvement agendas. This role will work jointly with the support provided from Brand Technical Centre and will interface heavily to ensure standards of service from external providers and exchange of ideas for process improvement.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide measurements to manage the entire brewing process from raw material intake to bright beer.
- Build team capability usng Diageo Capability framework; resource training to close the Gaps for the team and maintain a highly motivated team.
- Implementing and managing processes that support LTO / Diageo Risk Standards, Quality Systems and external regulatory requirements in the brewing section.
- Lead the management of the quality strategy implementation, initiatives, and improvement plans within brewing department.
- Champion safety practises and behaviours within the team.
- Provide timely, reliable analytical results to brewing department within KBL supply that will guide in process control and improvement.
- Track brewing quality performance against targets and set KPIs.
- Lead the brewing quality teams to deliver operational excellence in meeting the sites Quality targets, customer satisfaction and implementing quality improvement agendas.
- Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to Quality Management Systems (IMS & LTO) within KBL-Supply.
Qualificications and Experience
Bachelor of Science (Food Science & Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry)
Bachelor of Science (Food Science & Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry)
Associate member of the IBD and Postgraduate diploma in Brewing (Dip Brewer) are essential
Knowledge in brewing, packaging processes, spirits, statistical process control (SPC) and basic engineering.
Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and other structured problem evaluation and solving skills.
Management of people performance and development.
Knowledge of quality standards and understanding of legal/statutory requirements applicable to the food industry.
Knowledge of world class manufacturing techniques, standards and systems.
Experience in leading and implementing change
Knowledge in Manufacturing SAP Application.
At least 3 years experience in an FMCG environment is desirable
