Position Description
Title:Micro-Finance Assistant
Location: LUUQ Office(All area under Dollow office)
Start of Contract & Duration: (15th July 2014 - 6 Months) Renewable.
Background
DRC Dollow programme operates within a regional framework (Horn of Africa and Yemen) that incorporates three major components namely the integrated livelihoods component, emergency humanitarian interventions and advocacy and protection components. All DRC projects require monitoring and evaluation plans to be developed and implemented. In addition the M&E team also completes evaluations and impact assessments.
Purpose
The candidates will be responsible for the implementation of all Cash related activities under the SomReP project in dollow.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, planning and implementation of the Cash related activities in the SomReP Project.
- Ensure time assistance in the implementation of the DRC SomReP Cash grants activities.
- Monitor and evaluate DRC SomReP Cash grants related activities through regular field visits.
- Prepare and submit operational plans and program narrative reports on a timely basis.
- Develop and maintain proper documentation in all activities ensuring high level of accountability.
- Prepare a monthly, progress reports, quarterly, annual reports, and other reporting requirements.
- Training extension for Beneficiaries on grants handling and ensure proper use of the grants according to the TORs and guidelines.
- Ensure that the knowledge, experience and lessons learned on the projects implementations are documented, validated and disseminated to the donors and communities through communication, workshops and meetings.
- Initiate and conduct field assessments regarding impacts of grants on beneficiaries.
- Use the information from assessments and other sources for planning purposes.
- Preparation of field activities reports and lessons learnt.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to him/her by supervisor
Reporting Arrangements
This position will report to the Livelihood Coordinator-Dollow

Personal Specifications
Essential:.

- Preferable:
- Experience negotiation access or for humanitarian or other agencies
- At least 3 years’ experience working in Gedo region
