PROGRAMME ADVISOR, SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS SRHR
The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Africa Regional Office is looking to for a qualified bilingual individual (strong in French) to fill the position of Programme Advisor - Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR).
The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is the leading global NGO in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). It is currently working in more than 170 countries in the world. The Africa Regional Office (IPPFARO), based in Nairobi, is one of IPPF’s six regional offices.
The Programme Advisor -SRHR will develop, manage and provide technical leadership in SRHR and HIV/AIDS responses though the IPPFAR network of MAs. Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for:
· Developing and managing long and medium term strategies and plans to address SRHR and HIV/AIDS
· Coordinating and providing continuous technical direction, supportive supervision, monitoring, assessment and reviews of SRHR/HIV/AIDS programme implementation
· Strengthening the capacity of MAs to manage and provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS services
· Coordinating and promoting advocacy efforts for SRHR/HIV/AIDS at national, regional and international levels
· Ensuring quality and timely reporting and documentation of best practices for internal and external audiences
· To assist in mainstreaming Quality of Care principles within programmes
We are looking for a person with:-
· A masters degree in public health, epidemiology or medicine
· Minimum 8 years’ experience gained in developing countries in the area of sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, community health, covering: policy, strategic planning, programme management, service provision and research
· Excellent training, facilitation and supervisory skills
· Excellent written, analytical, presentation and reporting skills
· Willingness to undertake frequent travel within Africa
· Fluency in English and French
