Head of ICT/ Information Systems

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £43,860-49,470 per annum (Dependent upon Experience)
We are currently looking for a Head of ICT/ Information Systems based in our International Office, Birmingham. The purpose of this post is to identify IT based global solutions to business problems in line with strategic aims and stakeholder needs in addition to providing technical and development support to departments in developing appropriate IT applications to facilitate effective working. To support strategic divisional work to ensure that the overall divisional objectives are achieved. To strengthen IR’s relations with the wider community to consolidate and develop the visibility and image of the organisation.
The Head of ICT/Information Systems will identify IT based global solutions and to lead and develop IRW ICT global business problems in line with strategic aims and IRW stakeholder needs through formal consultation, advice and recommendations from the network, systems development and help desk teams as appropriate. You will also take a lead on the department objectives and check they are monitored and achieved on the basis of KPI’s.
The successful candidate shall have proven ability and experience in people and activity management as well as delegating roles and authority in a way in which enables teams to reach their targets/objectives. Experience of influence and implementing strategies and work plans which help to deliver the wider organisational objectives. Proven track record of leading an ICT unit to provide efficient solutions to the organisation with clear standardised documentation, procedures and internal controls at all levels that shows steps taken to mitigate risk. A Post-graduate degree in computing and a verifiable track record of continuous learning is an advantage.
