Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan citizen;
Be at least a holder of a Diploma from a recognized institution in Kenya;
Working experience of not less than three years;
Have qualifications and knowledge in administration or management; and
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Duties and Responsibilities
A village Administrator shall be responsible to the relevant Ward Administrator for:
Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the village;
Ensuring and coordinating the participation of the village unit in governance;
Assisting the village unit to develop the administrative capacity for the effective exercise of its functions and powers and participation in governance at the local level; and
Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board.
For a candidate to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, he/she must have the following clearance:
Certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)
Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
A tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
A certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Certificate from Credit Reference Bureau
