PATH is looking for a Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Reproductive Health Advisor who will be responsible for coordinating and implementing programmatic activities in the aforementioned areas of integration for a service delivery capacity building project. S/he must be experienced in integrated MNC/RH facility and community level programming and will work in six districts of Nyanza province (Homabay, Rachuonyo, Gucha, Borabu, Masaba and Manga).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, coordinate, and implement high impact initiatives MNCRH and PMTCT collaborative activities; high-quality monitoring and evaluation; and advocacy, communications, and social mobilization.
- Participate in project work as a technical expert in the area of MNC/RH integration,building the capacity of the district staff in the selected districts of Nyanza province.
- Model effective leadership, including the principles of effective collaborative partnerships, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Ensure that MNC/RH efforts are linked in a network of HIV testing, care and treatment programs that address a multitude of cross-cutting issues, such as stigma reduction and gender.
- Conduct site visits to review implementation of MNC/RH activities and meet with beneficiaries, communicate findings and recommendations for strengthening MNC/R interventions with program team.
- Support maternal health and child survival activities such as nutrition, IMCI, immunization and neonatal health in the project area.
- Work with partners including the MOH to support intergration of the RH/FP into existing PMTCT and TB HIV care and treatment activities.
- Compile monthly progress reports of individual partners' activities and submit it to the Project Director.
- Support capacity building of CBOs in the MNCH to improve acces to services.
- Analyze partner reports to capture best practices and success stories emerging from the interventions and share in various forums.
- Represent PATH with partners,at technical meetings,and with donors.
Required Skills
- Team focused with the ability to facilitate strong working relationships between partners, NGOs and CBOs, governments and the community.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills in working with communities, partners, and donors in international MNC/RH community.
- Programmatic ,theoretical and philosophical grasp of technical areas pertaining to primary health.
- Technical knowledge of clinical, public health, and programmatic aspects of MNC/RH integration issues.
Required Experience
- Masters in MPH, minimum of five years experience in public health, preferably with maternal or child health and experience working with communities is preferable.
You must currently have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
