The Nobeah Foundation was created to distribute technologies from Nobeah Technologies Ltd. on a subsidized or free basis where those technologies could have dramatic impact.
Across Africa the Nobeah Foundation will raise money from both local and international donors to sponsor free distribution of the technologies from Nobeah. Through these activities the foundation will achieve its goal of supporting insightful game-changing innovations that impact the very equations of human suffering and limited opportunity so solutions emerge organically, then building capacity for the solutions to sustain themselves and provide a solid platform on which further innovations may find anchor.
ABOUT THE JOB
ROLE: Donor Relations and Projects Manager
LOCATION: Nairobi, Kenya
COMPENSATION: This position is volunteer, but given a good mutual fit between the individual and the organization, the role may potentially transition into a paid full-time or part-time role within 3 months.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The newly formed Nobeah Foundation is seeking a highly motivated, organized, dynamic and energetic individual to serve as Donor Relations and Projects Manager in Kenya.
This position requires between 37-40 hours a week, M-F from 9-5:00 pm. The position is flexible to accommodate up to 100% remote work.

The detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to those below:
- Serve as a liaison between donors and the Nobeah Foundation as well as provide basic levels of guidance to donors in interacting with the Nobeah Foundation for all special programs;
- liaise and coordinate with assigned donors;
- develop and implement innovative modalities for cooperation with donors
- disseminate information within the Nobeah Foundation on the policies and priorities of the donor(s) and prepare regular updated profiles and briefs on these donors;
- manage and monitor the projects/programme's pipeline funded by the donor;
- facilitate operational clearance of development projects/programmes and monitor their implementation;
- contribute to the development and dissemination of tools for resource mobilization, including those related to capacity building
- involving preparation of training material and delivery of training/briefing sessions;
- assess donor's reporting needs and input information about those needs and then help tailor the Nobeah Foundation’s human resources reporting practices to meet those needs;
- utilize technology for maintaining and updating donor information as appropriate;
- research and effectively respond to donor inquiries utilizing a variety of resource materials and methods.
- has frequent contact with current and potential donors to ensure the selection of project staff engaged by the Nobeah Foundation meets the demographic goals set by the donor’s programmes, and to ensure that the metrics captured by human resources describing expenditures on labor properly report the scope and magnitude of the donor programmes impact on the lives of those who earned those wages. Leveraging their relationships with donors, through these metrics the Donor Liaison looks to expand donor funding;
- responsible for donor record maintenance. Additional duties include writing and managing donor-related correspondence related to reporting;
- supports the Funding Coordinators in the various programme areas of the Nobeah Foundation in maintaining effective liaison with donors through reporting on outcomes;
- ensure that human resources earmarked for specific projects are clearly identified, and inform the programme and finance departments in order that they may;
- advise the fundraising coordinators in defining resource costs to prepare funding applications in accordance with donor requirements and to follow-up during the donor appraisal procedure;
- ensure that the fundraising coordinators are aware of all resource costs in order that they may prepare proposals for review and submission to individual donors;
- If needed, advise fundraising coordinators in developing project modifications in accordance with donor requirements for specific demographics to staff the projects, and follow-up on proposed project modification appraisal;
- assist with the management of donors’ and other visits so as to minimize disruption whilst meeting the donors’ expectations for information and exposure to the programme;
- ensure that the relevant departments are informed of all donor compliancy related information affecting the programme in order that they may carry out their Monitoring and Evaluation obligations;
- assist in recruitment and interview processes;
- participate in administrative staff meetings & maintains organization chart / employee directory;
- communication of policies in relation to: travel, food stipends, workplace conduct, and ethics;
- effectively and timeously submit monthly reports;
- liaise with line managers and the recruitment function to facilitate timeous placement;
- participate in and give feedback regarding effective attraction and retention strategies;
- maintain close and effective liaison with the donors in the course of project implementation, including informing donors on significant context changes;
- ensure that visibility obligations to individual donors are fulfilled;
- preparation of quarterly reports for submission to the donors;
- review of human resources budget component of all reports and proposals from the funding coordinators before submission to donors;
- preparation of human resources budget component of annual reports;
- preparation of monthly situation reports on human resources budget developments in the programme area;
- preparation of fact sheets and other summary programme information in the area of human resources for dissemination to a range of stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in project management, training/learning, and/or development is strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and superior writing and verbal communications skills are a must, along with a keen ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, be very organized and meet deadlines.
