Nursing Activity Manager
Based in Dagahaley Refugee Camp
Project Summary:
The objective of our project is to provide primary and secondary level of health care to the Refugees in Dagahaley refugee camp.
MSF provides a full package of medical care through 4 primary health care units and 1 hospital (100 beds) with 24 hour emergency and OT.
Health services include curative, preventative, nutritional activities and emergency preparedness and intervention with partners.
Contract duration: 1 year fixed term contract with possibility of extension based on performance.
Main Tasks:
Planning, organization and evaluation of nursing activities with the view of improving quality and continuity of care
Ensure the daily management of human resources in coordination with the nursing director
In conjunction with doctors and clinical officers, ensure diagnosis and case management of patients are in accordance with MSF protocols
Provide technical support to the nutritionist at the hospital
Maintain and improve the quality of nursing care activities
Ensure all departments have the required biomedical equipment
Make sure that all medical errors and or incidents are reported
Requirements:
Nurses with diploma/degree from recognized institutions.
Must be a registered community health nurse
2-5 years managerial experience working in a busy hospital setup
MSF experience an added advantage
Due to the nature of the work, person with the right to work in Kenya and with ability to speak Somali will be highly advantaged.
