    Requirements for appointment
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Be a holder of at least a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya.
  • Have knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than ten years in the specific area.
  • Be Computer literate
  • Must have attended a course in Management/Strategic Leadership
  • A relevant Masters Degree is an added advantage.
  • Applicants must be registered with a relevant professional body.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
    Duties and responsibilities
    The Chief Officer shall be the authorized officer in respect of exercise of delegated power and shall be responsible to the respective County Executive Member for:.
  • The Administrative duties of a County Department.
  • Implementation of policies and development plans.
  • Development and Implementation of Strategic Plans.
  • Formulate and implement effective programs to attain Vision 2030 and sector goals.
  • Promote national values and principles of government and values and principles of public service referred to in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
  • Proven experience in Public Finance Management.
  • Other duties as assigned by the County Governor.
    Terms of Service: Contract 3 years renewable
    Salary Scale: Kshs.120, 270 – Kshs.180,660 P.M House Allowance: Kshs.56,000 P.M Commuter Allowance: Kshs.20,000P.M.
    General Requirements for all Applicants
    For a candidate to meet the requirements of chapter 6 of the Constitution, he/she must have the following clearance.
  • Certificate of good conduct from the criminal investigations department (CID)
  • Clearance certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • A tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • A certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
